Which Massage Technique Is Right For You?

Swedish Massage
Swedish massage uses firm but gentle pressure to promote relaxation, ease muscle tension, and promote circulation. It is a classic massage that will ease your stress and allow you to slip into a calm state of relaxation as your muscles benefit from increased blood flow & oxygen and decreased toxins.
Deep Tissue Massage
Like Swedish massage, Deep Tissue massage relaxes and heals your muscles while focusing on muscles and connective tissue below the surface. It helps to improve range of motion and heal injuries by targeting deeper the muscles layers. In addition to traditional muscle manipulation, trigger point therapy, myofascial release and other focused techniques are used to release knots and chronic muscle tension.
Sports Massage
Sports massage utilizes a variety of massage techniques designed to help your body feel stronger and move more freely. In conjunction with the Swedish and Deep Tissue techniques, Sports massage also includes stretches and passive muscle manipulation to increase range of motion, reduce pain, and decrease recovery time.
Gliding Cup Massage
Gliding Cup massage is different from ìcuppingî. When utilized in conjunction with traditional massage techniques it relieves muscle tension and improves blood flow to painful areas. Using oil as a base, the cups are moved along specific muscle fibers to release areas where muscles are tense, or blood is not circulating evenly. Gliding cupping is especially helpful when applied to the neck and shoulder areas to provide immediate relaxation and relief.
Prenatal Massage
Massage therapy during pregnancy is a wonderful complementary choice for prenatal care! It is a healthy way to relieve stress and promote overall wellness while relieving many of the normal discomforts experienced during pregnancy. Modified positioning and bolsters are utilized to increase your comfort and enjoyment during the session.
Oncology ‘ Palliative
The focus of Palliative massage is relief, relaxation, and recovery during the treatment of cancer and other illnesses and has been proven to reduce pain and anxiety in people with chronic illnesses. A trained oncology massage therapist has an informed understanding of the many ways illness can affect the human body; the side effects of medications, surgery, chemotherapy and radiation; and the ability to modify massage techniques in order to adapt for these side effects, as well as for the disease.
